On 30th May, a Leased Line that connects our Milton Keynes network to Telehouse failed. We have a backup line, from a different provider, that is intended to be used under such circumstances. The automatic failover to this line did not kick in and manual intervention was required that elongated the outage.

We have now been advised by our provider that the primary line is now repaired. We have experienced packet loss issues with the backup line during lunchtime today, causing slowness for some of our customers. We have taken the decision to restore traffic back to the primary line this evening after 7pm. There will be a brief outage whilst the line is transferred. In the event that this cutover is unsuccessful we will revert back to the backup line.
