Configuration of News Account (NNTP) in Outlook Express
The following sequences of events give a step-by-step guide to configuring a news account.
From the Main Windows 'Desktop' screen, select the button and the 'Start' menu will appear.
From the 'Start' menu, select 'Programs' and 'Outlook Express' options.
Outlook Express will open. You must now select the Tools option from the toolbar, and the following drop down menu will appear.
Select the Accounts option, and the following screen will be displayed allowing you to configure a news account.
Click on the Add button and then click on the News option. This will start the Internet Connection wizard to set up your new news account.
At the Your Name window, enter your Full name or Company name in the Display name field. This is the name that will appear on all emails and news posts sent by you. Click Next to continue.
At the E-mail address field, enter your Power Internet e-mail address using the format username@nodename.powernet.co.uk, and then click Next to continue.
In the News (NNTP) server field enter the Powernet news server name, news.powernet.co.uk. Click Next to continue.
At the final screen, click on Finish to complete the news account set up.
