Leased DSL For Business
Leased DSL (LDSL) for Business is a fully managed WAN solution built upon a variety of current connectivity options, including: broadband, fibre, leased lines, ethernet, dual/quad bonded and ISDN. Because Leased DSL 2 runs over a mixed level network, it enables business to reduce costs while operating on increased bandwidth.
Leased DSL is a powerful wide area network (WAN) management solution that controls every aspect of a multi site WAN. From one site to over a thousand sites, LDSL provides full monitoring and reporting capabilities whatever the size of network.
Connecting multiple sites over large distances has been made easier and cheaper thanks to advances in ADSL (broadband) technology. However ADSL lacks the reliability and visibility that dedicated Leased Lines can provide. LDSL monitors and controls multiple connections over a WAN, allowing organisations to harness cost effective bandwidth on a large scale while not compromising on resiliency and availability.
Developed in-house by Powernet, LDSL has been specifically developed from the ground up to manage WAN solutions and support industry standard Service Level Agreements (SLAa). LDSL automatically monitors connectivity to each remote site. However you choose to connect your multiple sites, be it ADSL, Fibre, leased lines or even 3G, LDSL can provide complete control.
Adding sites to a network is an easy process using LDSL a web based interface gives an overview of the state of all sites on a WAN. Once a site has networking hardware (typicaly a Cisco router) installed, updating router configurations can be done remotely. This remote process means that making multiple changes to sites can be made from one central location without the need to send network engineers on-site.
All access to LDSL is via the applications web based console. Fire up your favourite browser and start managing your network. All access is restricted by source IP, username & password and all of this is sent over secure socket layer (SSL).
Controls and alarms can be set for automated notification to the NMC support and customer staff via email, telephone and pager.
